Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg is seeking a Logistics and Supply Chain Management Co-op Student for a 4-month term, ending December 24, 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on industry experience through on-the-job training while contributing to key supply chain functions within our organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Soliciting Requests for Quotation as well as building Purchase Orders.
- Conduct basic negotiations related to pricing, delivery, and terms and conditions.
- Perform open-order follow-up and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Contribute to supply chain projects involving product lead time, Controlled Goods, supplier qualification, and supplier questionnaires.
- Participate in monthly 6S audits.
- Manage Supplier Evaluation Requests (SERs).
- Maintain data integrity by performing mass updates and generating reports using Excel (and potentially Access).
- Carry out general office administration including filing, record keeping, and email management.
Position Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Logistics and Supply Chain Management program or other relevant discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, time-management skills, and computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build positive working relationships.
- Ability to work independently with a strong, results-oriented mindset.
