Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. As a Project Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the program success by working with cross-functional teams, facilitating projects, and supporting the program manager(s) and business unit leader(s) in daily management of various programs. This position will allow mentoring through exposure and learning opportunities via the program manager(s) and business unit leader(s) to support professional growth.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and engage various levels of the organization through review meetings and tracking activities to achieve schedule, cost, and technical objectives of the projects that are assigned. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to management and key stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage risks, changes, and challenges that may impact project delivery, scope, or budget.
  • Assists in facilitating resolution of problems within the line organization, possibly in conjunction with the program manager.
  • Supports new business activities by assisting in the preparation of bid tenders and proposals, under the supervision of the program manager and business unit leader.
  • Coordination and participation in problem-solving activities related to the project tasks and program itself.
  • Promote teamwork throughout the organization, motivate and energize teams to ensure that everyone is focused and all are driving towards the same objective in a positive atmosphere.
  • Support the program manager and business unit leader in daily management and requirements of the program as required.
  • Assist program management in hosting/coordinating customer visits, tours, and presentations.
  • Perform basic data analysis of ERP/MES system manufacturing/planning related data, including development of graphs and charts supporting visualization of data for use at all levels within the organization.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Completion of an Engineering program at Bachelor or Technologist level; CIM or relevant business / management courses, degree or diploma, as well as formal leadership courses are preferred. PMP designation is an asset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), computer, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work successfully with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in managing complex projects considered an asset
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace industry regulations, standards, and best practices considered an asset
