Position Summary:
The Anodize/Plating Operator is responsible for execution of the scheduled work on a daily basis, including but not limited to Anodize and Plating. The Operator is expected to complete work assignments daily so that the highest quality and maximum productivity is achieved. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial chemical processes, safety protocols, and the ability to work in a controlled environment where precision and adherence to quality standards are mandatory.
Shift availability:
Shift: Friday–Monday weekend shift (4×8 hrs, 32 hrs worked, 40 hrs paid)
Hours: Fri & Mon 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Sat & Sun 6 AM- 2:30 PM
Essential Responsibilities:
• Performs processing operations per instructions, including racking, un-racking, loading and unloading of parts. Verify all internal procedures and customer requirements are followed and met, including accurately inputting data onto Route Card.
• Works closely with Department Technical and operational Leads to resolve issues Contribute to 6S and continuous improvement efforts.
• Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) = coordinate closely with department technical lead and assist in RCCA and immediate containment for quality issues in their process.
• committed to operating efficiently, and communicating issues to achieve team goals. Assures operations are run efficiently and works with leads to develop processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Maintain the work area in a clean, safe and hazard free manner.
• Train and certify personnel for Chemical processes as necessary.
• Track supplies and ask supervisor to order in a timely manner and maintain an accurate list of materials and supplies for ordering purposes.
Position Requirements:
• N/A (Industry Specific Training welcome. Ex: NASF, AS9100, or PRI/Nadcap trainings).
• Chemical Processing/Surface Finishing Experience.
• Strong technical skills in both Chemical Processing and Surface Finishing. Excellent people skills and willingness to work in a team environment. Strong communication skills, and ability to wear a respirator, steel toed shoes, safety glasses for up to 8 hours a day. Please refer to SOP for facial hair guidelines.
