Position Summary

 

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Liaison Clerk. The purpose of this position is to prepare engine, module, rotating component logbooks & report maintenance actions performed to modules, & X-field components in customer-defined format.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain engine, component and assembly records including current TSO, TSN, and life remaining, using customer tracking system software.
  • Research engine components and assemblies for time expired items.
  • Verify modification status for engine components and assemblies.
  • Prepare maintenance history reports for engine components and assemblies shipped to customer following repair or overhaul.
  • Produce engine, module and component status reports and/or maintain logbooks/ history cards from process card information.
  • Liaise with inspectors, planners, MSD, engineering, and other personnel requiring technical information from customer records/ tracking system.
  • Filing process/build cards, and related engine maintenance documents.
  • Must be capable of adapting to future technological changes introduced to customer tracking and/or record systems. 
  • May be required to perform the duties of Clerk, Shipping & Receiving as required.

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Minimum 1-2 years related work experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficient in the operation of computers, using database management software.
  • Possess skills/training in the operation of personal computers using Microsoft Office etc.
  • General office duties: Filing, archiving and retrieving information from files on request.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft engine components.
