Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting new opportunity for a Quality Control Planner. The purpose of this position is for the ideal candidate to provide process planning, manufacturing, inspection & other functions with initial/in-process corrective action controls to ensure optimum quality of manufactured parts: act for the company on Quality Control matters affecting Customer’s acceptance of products; assign & check the work of juniors.

Essential Responsibilities

• Determine adequacy of process planning, tooling & fixtures, design, inspection media & techniques, manufacturing machinery & processing equipment to provide optimum quality of end product.
• Carry our investigations in design, planning, manufacturing inspection & other functions to identify quality problems related to all manufacturing operations which may create or have created discrepancies.
• Evaluate & conclude necessary corrective action & ensure introduction of corrective measures with the least possible delay for such conditions as impractical drawing requirements, for modifications to prout, tool, & fixture design, changes in manufacturing methods, procedures, processes, operation sequences, inspection media, inspection techniques & frequency of inspection checks, etc.
