Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has a great opportunity for a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector B. The purpose of this position is to utilize testing equipment to detect discontinuities in parts of various compositions & materials.
Compensation: $34.13/hour

Essential Responsibilities
- The following work is usually appropriate to this classification:
- Perform all operational functions of manual lines of Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and ETCH inspections as required, in accordance with Quality Control Instructions to disclose flaws, ascertain their type, size and location, and therefore establish acceptability status of parts through evaluation to applicable quality standard.
- Perform NDT system checks to Quality Control Instructions. Set up equipment and ensure that parts are properly processed to the designated IMS and/ or R&O instruction, maintain records of inspection results, logs and inspection reports.
- Work to drawings, operation sheets, oral and written instructions of NDT Supervisor.
- When necessary, perform Level- 1 operator duties.
Position Requirements
- Certified NDT Technician
- 2 year College Diploma & 3-5 yrs., work experience plus 150 hours minimum classroom
- Computer literate: Microsoft Office
- Action oriented
- Dealing with Ambiguity
- Work Independently and/or as a team member
- Requires valid Orenda Inspector Qualification tickets for FPI, MPI, and ETCH Inspection Level 2 per MIL- STD- 410, NDTQ and QCI 9- 26 by achieving passing grades in written and practical qualifying examinations.
- Pass vision and colour test annually.
