Position Summary

 

Magellan Aerospace is looking for a Magellan Operating System™ Analyst to join our corporate team. The successful incumbent will work remotely with and travel to divisions to perform operational audits and analysis to support the implementation and development of the Magellan Operating System™ (MOS™). They will support ongoing corporate initiatives related to MOS™ and work with divisions to implement and improve systems and processes leading to operational excellence. The Magellan Operating System™ Analyst will contribute to the ongoing maintenance of MOS™ policies & guidance documents, and work with MOS™ councils to progress corporate initiatives. Other duties include managing reporting and analyzing data.

 

Compensation: $60k to $70k

Essential Responsibilties

 

  • Travel to divisions, support MOS™ audit program and conduct analysis in support of audits.  Make conclusions and recommendations based on information gathered during audits or interaction with divisional stakeholders; debrief senior divisional and corporate staff.
  • Participate in MOS™ Act continuous improvement events, meetings and teleconferences with working groups of varied sizes; create agendas and assign action items towards larger goals as directed by supervisors; support the activities of MOS™ councils and provide council leadership as required.
  • Analyze KPI data and reporting, manage divisional submissions and follow up as necessary.
  • Follow up on divisional MOS™ and initiative action items, assist in implementation.
  • Promote and educate MOS™ Principles and Best Practices including standardized tools.
  • Contribute to the creation of policies, procedures, presentations and training materials.

 

Position Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, or related)
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience an asset, but not essential
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time is required. Ability to relocate after this 2-3 year position is required.
  • Detail/Fact oriented; Able to communicate requirements effectively; Action oriented and Goal driven; self confident; analytical
  • MS Office Suite; exposure to MRP/ERP systems; exposure to manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with business finance fundamentals
  • Ability to lead teams and assert influence
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills during on-site visit based on corporate-defined principles
  • This role will have a significant contributing impact on the ongoing improvement of Magellan’s divisions
  • Communication skills critical; ability to present to senior managers and groups; ability to summarize and express conclusions convincingly; confidence and assertiveness
