Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has a great opportunity for an Engineering Records Clerk. This position is responsible for compiling and maintaining an up-to-date electronic library of all engineering documents, including but not limited to specifications, standards, drawings, parts lists, and change authorizations. This role ensures the availability, accuracy, and distribution of documentation essential to engineering and production. In addition, the position involves preparing and verifying parts lists, examining drawings, maintaining associated records, and supporting the accurate release and control of technical documentation.
Compensation: $28.42/ hour

Essential Responsibilities
- Initiate requisitions for and arrange reproduction of specifications, standards, and amendments to maintain a complete and current electronic library which is located in the MAM Portal.
- Coordinate the distribution of engineering documents.
- Maintain up-to-date engineering library files of company, vendor, international standards and customers drawings, parts lists, change documents, standards and specifications; provide additional copies as requested.
- Maintain cross-reference systems including indices such as approved vendors and vendor part numbers.
- Prepare parts lists and related records using supplied documentation and technical input.
- Compile data such as process specifications, material specifications, and related technical information.
- Verify that parts lists align with assembly drawings; advise on potential impacts of engineering changes.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between parts lists, drawings, and change documentation by coordinating with relevant departments.
- Compile or verify tabulated reports against records.
- Perform related clerical duties such as maintaining card files, cross-indexing technical documents, assigning serial numbers and codes, sorting, and filing, print/plot/scan as requested.
- Oversee Iron Mountain records management, including ordering, packaging, and tracking of boxes; assign destruction dates when required.
- Maintain and issue office stationery supplies for the main floor office area.
- Monitor photocopier supplies (paper and toner), arrange replacements, and coordinate repairs as needed.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 yr. work experience in a similar role, preferably the aerospace industry
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office, Access, Adobe Acrobat, CINCOM
- Administration skills: entering time card data into Magellan accounting system, maintaining stationery/operating supplies, supporting local photocopiers/supplies, operating and maintaining scanners and wide-format printers
- Good verbal and written communication skills
