Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has a great opportunity for an Engine Inspector "B". The successful incumbent will be responsible for inspecting components and ensuring serviceability to manuals.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection of complete major sub-assemblies & of complete stages of engine build, including the stage prior to "green" and "penalty" run.
  • Make visual checks of complete engines before strip, inspect oil flow & observe strip operations.
  • Maintain inspection records & prepare reports relevant to the assigned work.
  • Inspecting the assembly & strip of complete compressor rotors, compressor casings, gear boxes, front, rear, & center bearing assemblies, turbine rotors etc.
  • Inspecting complete front- end build stage, rear end build stage, marry-up stage, etc.
  • Interpret manuals & drawings.
  • Verify the correctness of inspection records, accountability of workmanship.
  • Ensure engine inspections meet standards.

Position Requirements

  • Aircraft Maintenance Diploma.
  • 3-5 years' experience.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Industry certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Action oriented.

Position Requirements

  • Formal education &/or related 3-5 years work experience in a turbine engine repair & overhaul facility.
  • Technical training (gas turbine engine, advanced turbine engine).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Action oriented.
  • Ability to work with precision measuring instruments, hand tools, photographs, blueprints, process summary sheets, planning instructions, change notices & oral instructions.
