Position Summary

 

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has a great opportunity for an Electronic Instrumentation Technologist. The purpose of this position is to provide calibration for all instrumentation, test/repair electrical/mechanical instrumentation as well as provide electrical/mechanical support to the engine test facilities.

 

Compensation: $38.23/hour

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Repair, calibrate, install, adjust, inspect & maintain mechanical, electrical & electronic instruments test equipment & mechanisms
  • Troubleshoot, repair, adjustments, replacements to all instrumentation components
  • Make/modify instrumentation to meet specified test requirements & install test equipment, panels & wiring
  • Trouble shoot/repair/replace parts of test facility during test operations
  • Ascertain specific needs, devise, convert, develop complete & partial instrumentation systems to suit test requirements
  • Service, calibrate, set up & operate data acquisition recording/vibration equipment
  • As required may perform the work of Technician, Laboratory” A”, & Technician, Vibration “A”, Technician, Heat Treat

 

Position Requirements

  • 4-year College Diploma, Electronic Instrument Technician/Technologist or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing
  • Certified/Approved Calibration/Engine Component O/H & Repairs
  • Working knowledge of Turbine Engines, PLC’s, Test Cell Systems, Programmable VI’s Instrumentation, Test Schedules, Engineering Drawings/Specifications & Customer Requirements
  • Operate computer systems, update/maintain calibration schedule/data of source Labs, R&O & Manufacturing
  • Raise PO’s/shipping documents for instrumentation sent out of plant
  • Set up & operate laboratory hand/power tools & test equipment
  • Application/operation procedures: plant machinery & engine test facilities
  • ISO & Quality Standards
