Position Summary

 

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting new opportunity for a Production Control Co-ordinator. The purpose of this position is to plan, schedule and monitor the movement of material through production to ensure we meet the on time delivery schedule and customer requirements. The successful incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and reporting production schedules, forecasts and machine and plant capacity plans.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Troubleshoot, coordinate procurement parts with production loads, On-Time Load Lead time calculations
  • Metrix measurement & maintenance dispatch list, daily maintenance ensuring accurate w/c schedule
  • Support Component Manufacturing & Repair/Overhaul areas
  • Routing/tracking sheet maintenance
  • W/C averaged actual calculations
  • Develop a production schedule and develop priorities to meet operational and customer requirements
  • Develop the process flow solutions for both new and existing products and ensure ongoing productivity improvement throughout operations. 
  • Monitor and report production efforts by comparing progress to schedule
  • Resolve schedule problems and help coordinate solutions by monitoring production and reporting to manufacturing operations the bottlenecks and requirements for resolving these constraints
  • Focus on continuous improvements within the organization to ensure best practices are shared to enhance the strength of the supply chain.

 

Position Requirements

 

  • College degree or equivalent: Production Control, Manufacturing Management
  • Supply Chain knowledge & work experience
  • 1 to 3 years work experience in similar role with aerospace experience
  • Thorough knowledge of all logistical areas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment
  • APICS certified, or willing to register & complete certification
  • Strong mathematical & analytical skills
  • Sense of urgency & ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work with confidential information: costs, customer
  • Expertise in the following: production & inventory control
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office as well as information & control systems ie. Cincom, or Database
