Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) will be the representative for quality matters related to specific customers or products and will coordinate the activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
Annual salary range: $65,000 - $75,000

Essential Responsibilities
- Implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures aligned with AS9100 and other aerospace standards.
- Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to quality systems and prepare for external audits by regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate inspection activities for raw materials, components, and finished aerospace products.
- Maintain accurate quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action documentation.
- Prepare quality performance metrics and present findings to management for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product reliability and reduce defects.
- Plan, action, compile, and audit the First Article Inspection (FAI); compile FAI reports and other documentation in support of product deliverables
- Perform internal workstation and product audits
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
- Other Duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized Engineering Technologist program or University degree or a minimum of five (3-5) years related experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or compliance within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Hands-on experience with AS9100 audits and ISO 9001 systems.
- Proven track record in supplier quality management, including vendor audits and corrective action implementation.
- Experience with inspection techniques in aerospace manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), FMEA, and risk management tools.
- Knowledge of relevant customer regulatory requirements considered an asset
- CAD skills and CMM programming will be considered an asset
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and planning and organization skills
- Experience in data collection, management and analysis
