Position Summary

 

Magellan Aerospace, Haverhill is a world-class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components. We have an exciting opportunity for a  Manufacturing Engineer. The primary responsibility of a Manufacturing Engineer is to Create, implement, maintain and improve manufacturing processes for static and rotating aerospace components. Develop and provide technical support for the creation, implementation and improvement of manufacturing processes.

 

Annual Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Develop/implement/Improve manufacturing process
  • Direct and/or create process documentation/process revisions utilizing NX
  • Review/disposition Non-conformances and facilitate Root Cause review/assignment
  • Monitor process metrics for cost and quality
  • Router/BOM creation/update
  • Fixture/tooling development and manufacture
  • Interface with outside suppliers to develop/troubleshoot special processes
  • Incorporate drawing/specification changes
  • Interface directly with customers to alleviate technical issues
  • Monitor/develop reworks/repairs to alleviate non-conformance issues
  • Monitor process and raise issues for awareness
  • Implement Corrective Actions
  • Establish project timelines utilizing Microsoft Project
  • Present process metrics utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint/Excel
  • Knowledge of weld, heat treat and NDT processes beneficial

 

Position Requirements

 

  • BSME or equivalent experience in aerospace machining environment
  • 5-10 years - preferably in aerospace machining
  • Mechanical aptitude, Problem solving, Process development, multi-tasking
  • Work well with personnel at all levels, Focus on current issue, Consensus building
  • Confidence, Technology driven, Self-motivated
