Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Pattern Repairperson/Technician to support the production of high-precision aerospace castings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tooling fabrication, repair, and inspection, utilizing various materials and machining techniques. This role is essential in maintaining aerospace industry standards and ensuring the quality of production tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive work assignments and technical guidance from the supervisor.
- Adhere to all plant safety protocols, industry regulations, and work with a safety-first mindset.
- Manufacture, repair, and inspect aerospace tooling, including patterns, core boxes, jigs, fixtures, and templates, with high precision.
- Operate a range of metalworking and woodworking machinery required for tooling fabrication and repair.
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines for complex tooling component production.
- Utilize CAD/CAM and inspection software, as well as engineering drawings, CAD data, and sketches, to carry out assignments.
- Perform welding and soldering on a variety of materials.
- Machine and inspect test samples for aerospace lab testing, ensuring compliance with strict specifications and quality standards.
- Select appropriate machines, tools, and materials for repair and fabrication tasks.
- Use hand tools to work with plastics, wood, and urethane for pattern and core box repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and industry-compliant work environment, following aerospace standards and internal 6S guidelines.
Education Requirements:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required such as your GED.
- Applicants must have either completed at least one year of post-secondary education in machining, toolmaking, or a related technical field, or have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience and training.

Work Conditions:
- The ideal candidate will be able to work rotating shifts 5 days a week (Currently morning shift only, but may include afternoon shift in the future)
- CSA approved footwear, Safety glasses, ear protection, etc.
