We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Licensed Electrician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment across the facility to ensure optimal production efficiency and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventive, and predictive electrical maintenance on production equipment and facility electrical systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, VFDs, control devices, sensors, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLC systems, motor controls, safety circuits, and relays
  • Diagnose faults using electrical schematics, ladder logic, equipment manuals, and appropriate test instruments
  • Work safely with three-phase electrical distribution systems up to and including 600V, including switchgear, transformers, and disconnects
  • Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations in coordination with Engineering and Maintenance
  • Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, ESA requirements, and site health and safety policies
  • Complete accurate documentation for work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity
  • Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school or an equivalent educational credential
  • Certified Electricians must hold a valid 309A or 442 license

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of electrical experience in industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with PLC-controlled systems, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work safely in industrial conditions, including heights, confined spaces and around operating machinery

Security Requirements:

  • We conduct a criminal Record Check on all new hires
  • We conduct a Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Check on all new hires; must be able to give 3 references to help verify your identity

Work Conditions:

  • The ideal candidate will be able to work rotating or scheduled shifts Monday to Friday with overtime as needed
  • Shift work required, based on operational needs
  • Must wear CSA-approved PPE including safety footwear, eye and hearing protection
  • Work performed in an industrial manufacturing environment
