SUMMARY: Prepares and welds parts in accordance with ENA approved operating procedures and technical data.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents ENA in a professional manner.
- Follows policies and procedures established by Euravia North America, ENA Repair Station Manual, ENA Quality Control Manual, FAR’s, Quality Assurance Manager and Chief of Engineering.
- Direct, supervise, and assist all personnel assigned to Welding and Hand Finish.
- When required welds parts in accordance with work instructions, standard operating procedures, approved technical data and authority roster qualification.
- Prepares parts made of aircraft alloys of nickel, cobalt and magnesium based alloys for weld, braze and other aerospace procedures.
- Directs others and helps to deburr, blast parts after machining.
- Directs others and helps to blend welds and removes excess braze alloys.
- Ensures gas turbine airfoils and contours and blended to specification required.
- Instructs to remove and apply coatings IAW approved MATS procedures.
- Follows work instructions carefully.
- Carries out operations IAW job instructions and approved documentation provided; ensuring all previous operations have been completed, inspected, signed or stamped off before commencement.
- Ensures completed work is stamped off or signed as instructed.
- Uses fixtures, measuring and gauging tools when required.
- Ensures all tools used are calibrated (if required) and in good working order.
- Understands blueprints, company manuals, and written and verbal instructions.
- Follows written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to relate to others in a courteous manner.
- Ability to learn and adapt to varied work assignments.
- Possesses the practical and technical knowledge required to perform assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to demonstrate proper judgment and decision making skills when necessary.
- Ability to perform work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to produce a significant volume of work efficiently in a specified period of time.
- Ability to produce results with a minimum amount of rework.
- Demonstrates a willingness to accept other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is desired.
- Trained and qualified to weld IAW approved tests results.
- Experience in the set up and maintenance of weld equipment desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information.
