Thermal/Cold Spray Operator

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represents Magellan Aerospace Turbine Services in a professional manner. 

• Follows policies and procedures established by Magellan Aerospace Turbine Services, MATS Repair Station Manual, MATS Quality Control Manual, FAR’s, Special Process Supervisor, Chief Inspector and Chief of Engineering.

• Approved to operate thermal spray equipment IAW MATS authority roster.
• Maintains thermal spray equipment in accordance with MATS preventive maintenance schedules.
• Carries out operations IAW job instructions and any approved documentation provided; ensuring all previous operations have been completed, signed or stamped off before commencement.
• Ensures completed work is stamped off or signed as instructed.  

• Uses measuring and gauging tools, ensures all tools used are calibrated if required and in good working order.                                                                                          

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.                                           

• Ability to relate to others in a courteous manner.                                        

• Ability to learn and adapt to varied work assignments.                              

• Possesses the practical and technical knowledge required to perform responsibilities.

• Ability to demonstrate proper judgment and decision making skills when necessary. 

• Ability to perform work with little or no supervision.

• Ability to produce a significant volume of work efficiently in a specified period of time.
• Ability to produce results with a minimum amount of rework.                   

• Demonstrates a willingness to accept other duties as assigned.                         

QUALIFICATIONS

• A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is desired.
• Trained and qualified to thermal spray IAW MATS authority roster.
• Experience in the maintenance of thermal spray equipment desirable.

• Ability to read and interpret technical information.
• Working knowledge of dimensioning and aptitude for using precise measuring equipment.
