Job Title:  Receiving/ Materials Expeditor

 

Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Glendale has an exciting opportunity for a Receiving / Materials Expeditor. The successful incumbent will receive & expedite movement of material between production areas according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities with use of Excel, ERP, SAP for ITAR/ AERO regulated Industry. Valid Driver License required

Essential Responsibilities

  • Process all incoming orders by opening boxes, verifying against receiving paperwork and purchase order
  • Maintain records, purchase orders, all associated paperwork and backorders until received in full
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of equipment and production materials from suppliers & enter transactions in ERP materials management tracking system.
  • Expedite movement of material between production areas according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities.
  • Proactively maintain an orderly warehouse with all material in proper place aligned neatly & rotated for new stock arrivals. 
  • Inspect, label and understand proper handling of hazardous materials
  • Operate forklift and other shipping department equipment for unloading of materials from freight trucks to warehouse
  • Work closely with procurement and manufacturing /operations with good understanding of inventory management principles and hazardous material requirements.
  • Proficient use of Excel, ERP and or SAP for daily Document Control and Record Management as required to analyze and resolve discrepancies

Job Requirements

  • Computer experience:  ERP and/or SAP experience, basic Excel
  • Working knowledge or experience with FIFO, PO, CoC and CoA
  • Forklift experience or certifiable
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift, move and shuffle excessive product weight with a MIN of 50 lbs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexible to overtime when required
  • Decision making & problem solving skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions & work under limited supervision
