Job Title: Receiving/ Materials Expeditor I

Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Glendale has an exciting opportunity for a Receiving / Materials Expeditor. The successful incumbent will receive & expedite movement of material between production areas according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of various parts and components
  • Receive incoming goods, confirm accuracy, and route them to the shop floor.
  • Ensure received and shipped materials match pertinent documentation
  • Assure all quality control documents are completed for outgoing items.
  • Process expedited deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Use computer system to track goods and inventory.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
  • Warehouse upkeep: all material in proper place aligned neatly & rotated when new stock arrives.  Floors to be free from all debris & swept often.  This will also apply to all material outside of warehouse, (Westside location)
  • Maintain records of receipts for accounting verification
  • Operate forklift and other shipping department equipment
  • General office duties for record management required

Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up 50 lbs. or more
  • Must have good attendance record
  • Forklift experience or certifiable
  • Computer experience:  Electronic receiving experience, basic Excel knowledge, ability to navigate the internet for ordering purposes
  • Work overtime when required
  • Decision making & problem solving skills
  • Superior people skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions & work under limited supervision
