SUMMARY: The Quality Department Manager is responsible for assisting the QAM in assuring the total quality of Euravia North America “ENA”.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Represent Magellan ENA in a professional manner.
  • Reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager for all quality related issues as delegated, assuring the overall quality of products assigned are in accordance with all current regulations, approved data or customer specifications as required.  
  • Maintains and keeps current all documentation regulations, specifications, directives, manuals  and other approved data as assigned
  • Ensure that established policies and procedures are followed.               
  • Review and approve ENA routings to ensure repair quality and efficiency as required.
  • Review process inspection requirements for each component and ensure inspection meets all requirements.
  • Qualify and supervise Inspectors and designated personnel for their inspection duties.
  • Monitor production requirements and provide assistance with product inspection, as required.
  • Help to maintain MATS Vendor Audit System by conducting audits of MATS vendors and maintaining vendor sample surveillance as directed. Monitor vendor quality with respect to processed components and establish corrective/preventative action if required.
  • Monitor the analytical process and provide assistance, as required.
  • Monitor and/or conduct internal audits IAW the IPM and other guidelines as directed.
  • Provide Quality training as required for all newly hired personnel. Conduct periodic quality training on a scheduled basis.  Document training sessions and content.
  • Ensure that all precision tools, gauges and other items requiring calibration are properly calibrated.
  • Promote Quality throughout the Shop by being visible and aware of day-to-day operations.  Procure and post quality related information for Shop personnel.
  • Assure that all employees are qualified to perform their assigned duties, as applicable.
  • Control and document the traceability of all bond stock items.
  • Maintain and monitor the ENA Shelf Life Program.
  • Maintain material control logs and related records and issue controlled materials after review.                                                                                                  
  • Assist all employees with Federal Aviation Regulation interpretation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years experience in aerospace quality assurance.
  • Ten years or more years aerospace repair business experience
  • Collage degree or equivalent aerospace related experience and qualifications preferred.
  • Is familiar with FAR’s and understands FAA procedures.                         
  • Is knowledgeable of component inspection procedure methods and inspection requirements relevant to MATS operational specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
