Job Title: MRB Inspector

Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Glendale specializes in the manufacturing of precision magnesium and aluminum sand castings. We have an exciting opportunity for a MRB Inspector. The successful incumbent will ensure that manufactured castings have assigned production or rework planning traveler.

Essential Responsibilities

• Daily inspection is documented on required report to allow dispositioning of discrepant product.
• Review of reported defect for appropriate routing and required rework is authorized
• Perform weld inspection including dimensional measurement of product in identified areas.
• Generate welds maps for areas that require welding.
• Interfacing with various processing departments.
• Collect parts for daily MRB review process.
• Identifies and locates parts requiring customer disposition.
• Perform containment as directed.
• Performs system transactions in SFC and generates rework travelers and specific instructions
• Assist other employees within the department, supervisor and leadman.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Good communication skills
• Must have basic math skills
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Computer literate and ability to execute transaction in SPF and MPS
• Must be able to pass Jaeger eye exam
• Competent using measuring instruments
