Job Title: Heat Treat Operator

Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Glendale specializes in the manufacturing of precision magnesium and aluminum sand castings. We have an exciting opportunity for a Heat Treat Operator.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, control and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment.
• Prepare customer supplied parts for processing.
• Load and unload furnaces, bins, baskets, fixtures, etc.
• Follow written procedures on shop orders and/or customer paperwork.
• Bring any irregularities or non-conformities to attention of supervisor or management.
• Promote safety and good housekeeping practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Assist the straightening department.
• Other duties may be assigned

Position Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs., bend, climb, stoop, and stand.
• Knowledge of heat-treating processes preferred but not necessary
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator certification, with training available in-house.
• Must be able to pass Vision Eye Exam
• Heat Treat Operator Certification required, with training available in-house
• Good organizational skills
