Position Summary

 

Euravia North America, a division of Magellan Aerospace has a great opportunity for a Hand Finisher. The successful incumbent will prepare parts made of aircraft alloys of nickel, cobalt and magnesium based alloys for weld, braze and other aerospace procedures, deburrs parts after machining, blends welds, removes excess braze alloys, restores gas turbine airfoils to print contours.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare parts made of aircraft alloys of nickel, cobalt and magnesium based alloys for weld, braze and other aerospace procedures.
  • Deburr parts after machining.
  • Blend welds and removes excess braze alloys.
  • Restore gas turbine airfoils to print contours.
  • Maintain and keeps appropriate documentation on all parts for tracking purposes. Use full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before and after start of job.
  • Perform repairs in accordance with company manufacturing instructions.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to accept other duties as assigned.
  • Represent Euravia North America (ENA) in a professional manner.
  • Follow policies and procedures established by Euravia North America, FAA, Chief Inspector, and Chief Engineer.

 

Position Requirements

 

  • A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is desired.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Previous blending/deburring experience is desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is desired.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to relate to others in a courteous manner.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to varied work assignments.
  • Possesses the practical and technical knowledge required to perform responsibilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate proper judgment and decision making skills when necessary.
  • Ability to perform work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to produce a significant volume of work efficiently in a specified period of time.
  • Ability to produce desired results with a minimum amount of rework.
