SUMMARY: Prepares parts for braze application, mixes braze alloys in accordance with Operating Procedures and technical data, applies braze alloys to gas turbine engine parts, heat treats gas turbine engine parts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents ENA in a professional manner.
- Follows policies and procedures established by Euravia North America, ENA Repair Station Manual, ENA Quality Control Manual, FAR’s, Special Process Supervisor, Chief Inspector and Chief of Engineering.
- Prepares parts for braze application accordance with work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Mixes braze alloys in accordance with approved technical data.
- Applies braze alloys to gas turbine engine parts in accordance with work instructions and ENA Operating Procedures.
- Follows work instructions carefully.
- Loads and unloads vacuum ovens.
- Programs and operates vacuum ovens.
- Maintains vacuum ovens in accordance with manufacturers and ENA maintenance policies.
- Tracks inventories of powders, details and parts used by the Braze Department.
- Carries out operations IAW job instructions and any approved documentation provided; ensuring all previous operations have been completed, signed or stamped off before commencement.
- Ensures completed work is stamped off or signed as instructed.
- Uses precision measuring and gauging tools to precisely install sheet metal details.
- Understands blueprints, company manuals, and written and verbal instructions.
- Follows written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to relate to others in a courteous manner.
- Ability to learn and adapt to varied work assignments.
- Possesses the practical and technical knowledge required to perform assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to demonstrate proper judgment and decision-making skills when necessary.
- Ability to perform work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to produce a significant volume of work efficiently in a specified period of time.
- Ability to produce results with a minimum amount of rework.
- Demonstrates a willingness to accept other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is desired.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of weld equipment desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical publications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
