Position Summary 

 

Magellan Aerospace, New York has an exciting new opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst. The purpose of this position is to assist with inventory management, supplier coordination, production planning support, and data analysis to help ensure materials are available to meet production and customer requirements. The successful incumbent is looking to begin their career in supply chain, logistics, and operations planning within a highly regulated and quality-driven aerospace industry.

 

Essential Responsibilities 

 

  • Assist with monitoring material requirements and inventory levels to support production schedules.
  • Support purchasing and supplier communication to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Analyze supply chain data and prepare reports related to inventory trends, supplier performance, and material shortages.
  • Work cross-functionally with production, quality, engineering, and finance teams to resolve material or scheduling issues.
  • Maintain accurate supply chain records within ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Assist with tracking and expediting open purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost savings, process efficiency, and inventory optimization.
  • Help ensure compliance with aerospace quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support supply chain and operational objectives.

 

Position Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Internship or academic project experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or data analysis is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Exposure to ERP systems is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
