The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 annually.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This entry-level to mid-level position is ideal for candidates with up to three years of experience in production planning or a related field. The Production Planner will be responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of production activities to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes. This role will involve collaboration with various teams to optimize production schedules, meet customer demands, and maintain high-quality standards in aerospace manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing production schedules and plans to ensure efficient workflow, meet delivery deadlines, and maximize resource utilization.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering teams to confirm material availability and ensure production timelines are adhered to.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the supply chain team to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Track and report production progress, delays, and challenges, and suggest corrective actions to improve efficiency.
- Help resolve production issues by analyzing data and working with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production documentation, including work orders, schedules, and reports.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of production planning processes and workflows.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with quality control standards and ensure adherence to aerospace industry regulations.
- Support management in identifying capacity issues, potential risks, and areas for improvement in production planning.
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams and suppliers to address any issues related to production or materials.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of overall program schedules and rates, and drive changes from the customer level down to the detailed scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- 0-3 years of experience in production planning or related roles, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing industries.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Basic knowledge of production scheduling and inventory management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
