Position Summary

 

Magellan Aerospace, New York has an exciting new opportunity for a Shipper & Receiver. The purpose of this position is to be essential in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and transportation of materials, parts, and products. The successful incumbent will have at least one year of experience in shipping and receiving operations and must possess a valid CDL license.

 

The salary range for this position is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Properly document shipments, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory records.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments in the inventory system.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Package, label, and prepare shipments for delivery or transport.
  • Operate company vehicles to transport materials between facilities, if required.

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Valid CDL License required.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management systems and shipping software.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures
